AnnTheGran
Ann Cobb began stitching doll clothes as soon as she was old enough to hold a needle and began making her own clothes in jr. high school when she was given an old Singer portable that, although it stitched only a single straight stitch, came with a treasure trove of attachments, a few of which she still uses. Over the years, that old Singer was replaced several times as Ann continued to sew for herself and then for her husband, children and grandchildren, becoming, along the way, one of the most recognized names in the world of home embroidery.

Alternative Windows - Cathedral Window
Cathedral window is a layered patchwork which gives a 3D effect. Although time consuming it is relatively easy to do even if you have a minimal amount of sewing experience. For the best results they recommend using a plain coloured background fabric with either a contrasting colour or pattern fabric for the "windows". These free illustrated sewing instructions will enable you to make your own Cathedral Window patchwork cushions and pram covers.
